I work with people who are navigating career or life transitions and want a thoughtful second perspective.
Most
of us, at some point, simply need to say things out loud.To talk with
someone who doesn’t know our history. Someone who can listen carefully,
ask thoughtful questions, and help us see a situation from a slightly
different perspective.
As a mentor, my role is not to tell you
what to do. My role is to listen, ask questions, and explore your
thinking with you including the reasons behind the choices you are
considering.
We all bring our past experiences to every decision
we make. Sometimes we spend a great deal of time trying to apply
old solutions to new problems, when the moment may actually call
for a fresh way of thinking.
In that sense, mentoring can feel a
bit like having a sounding board. You bring the question, the ideas,
the possibilities and together we look at them from a calm and
thoughtful distance.
Mentoring does not have to be a long-term
commitment. It can be a single conversation, occasional discussions, or
ongoing meetings depending on what feels useful. With email, Zoom, or
phone conversations, mentoring can also be simple and accessible.
Taking time to reflect on your next step whether personal or professional is an investment in yourself and your future.
If there is something you have been thinking about, you are always welcome to out.
